What is FizziMoo

 In 2012, while most of the country was nurturing an ever growing obsession with all things coffee shops, something entirely different was happening in the cities of Utah.  The leaders of the Mormon Church made a clarification to its teaching concerning caffeinated beverages. The new guidance made it clear that it was coffee and tea which were against the "Word of Wisdom" which contains LDS Church guidelines on food and beverage.  It was not caffeine itself. There are no restrictions on caffeinated sodas.

This gave birth to a new kind of soda shop.  One that borrowed heavily from the coffee shop industry that was taboo to the highly Mormon population of cities such a Provos and Salt Lake City.  These shops blended all manners of flavored syrups and coffee creamers into classic soft drinks making  delightful and delicious concoctions of all manners. One such recipe seemed ubiquitous.  It was Diet Coke blended with lime and coconut coffee creamer. 

Quickly these small shops and stands became the must stop spot for students and soccer moms alike.  Everyone who a need a fix of caffeine or pick me to get through the day had a new home in Utah.

One such shop coined the phrase "Dirty Soda", and a revolution (and lengthy copyright war) was born.   

As more and more of these stands dotted the corners of Utah, it was initially believed that this was a uniquely Utah phenomenon. But as franchises grew, they pushed over state borders and infected others states. Arizona was first to fall, followed quickly by Oklahoma and Texas.  it pushed west into California and bounced off the Pacific Ocean and hurled back eastward. 

In less than a decade Utah's soda craze had swept the Pacific southwest and was barreling towards the mid-west.   It arrived earlier than expected in a new form right here in Kent, Ohio. Local restauranteur C. E. Ciborek learned of the craze while researching beverage trends to bolster his burgeoning virtual restaurants Flash Bagel co. & Front Door Burger.   He combined the classic Utah Soda concept with the new Cold Foam Recipes he had been developing and the FizziMoo Soda was born.

On June 11, 2022 the first ever FizziMoo soda was sold as part of preview in the dining room of Ciborek's diner, Wild Goats Cafe.  The menu quickly expanded to include twenty different drink bases and over 40 syrups, ad-ins, boba pearls and toppers.  In the first month nearly 2,000 FizziMoo drinks were sold.

A year later, over a hundred people a day find pure sipping pleasure with a FizziMoo beverage!
